How much can a shoesting hold?

A ponderable with the humor in the vein of Demetri Martin, Steven Martin, in response to last week’s question, “How much can you put on a shoestring?”, several friends shared website answers including cooking on a shoestring, starting a business on a shoestring, and weddings on a shoestring. In line with cooking on a shoestring, my dad’s beach buddy Bob concluded, “Several pounds if they came from McDonalds.”

My neighbor Dick wrote, “Seems like a lot of us are living our lives on "a shoestring budget" nowadays.”

My friend Richard determined, “Usually one shoe is the limit” while my birthday bud Jon wrote, “one foot is the limit.”

My friend Royce determined, “You have to consider if it is a normal cotton 1/8th" shoestring, a rolled and waxed one, a running shoe one that can stretch, a leather one for boots and/or topsiders. There is a myriad of choices before one can determine "how much" you can put on a shoestring.” To this, my friend Chris provided a “complete list of shoe brands and manufacturers:.” However, few sell shoestrings and none provided specs.

Please share your thoughts about "things that make you go 'Hmmm' ”:

What is a class reunion like if you were home schooled?

Live well...laugh often and heartily…. have a good week and never regret anything that made you smile!

Hal

Best wishes for a speedy recovery to a friend of many of us, Alan, who is homebound for a bit.
