Why is a head cold not just only in your head? (and Valentine question)

In response to last week’s question, "Why is a head cold not just only in your head?",  my U of Pitt-alumni* friend Richard explained, "Because once your head gets completely full of mucus, it has to spread out to the rest of your carcass. The alternative is that it escapes via the top of your head and your ears…which might actually feel better!"

My dad's beach buddy Bob replied, "Because the others are to be found in other areas such as chest cold, cold feet and let's not forget 'cold hands with a warm heart.' "

And then my cousin Wes "wished they were just in my head. Then my psychiatrist could cure it…maybe."

Please share your thoughts about "things that make you go 'Hmmm' “:

Does Valentine's Day complicate or simplify love?

We don't stop laughing because we get old. We get old because we stop laughing.  Make it a priority to have fun and make others laugh.

(*) What a great year to be a college basketball fame and a Syracuse alum. 23-0 and ranked #1.  Syracuse v Pitt is Wed at 7pm followed by (get this) the less buzz-worthy ACC game: Duke at UNC. Join us with a big, loud "Let's Go Orange!"

Atlanta and snow:  Keep the jokes coming.  We're being environmentally friendly by not treating our streets with chemicals that runoff to our streams --- or driving plows that burn fossil fuels.  ;-)

Thanks to Demetri Martin, Steven Wright and George Carlin for the inspiration.
