Can something new be a recreation?

In response to last week’s question, "Can something new be a recreation?", my sailing friend Kurt observed, "Have you been to the movies?  They keeping recreating old movies and calling them new all the time. I'm starting to think they ran out of ideas," to which my friend Richard added, "Since half of the new movies coming out seem to be recreations of old TV series or old movies, it would seem the answer has to be yes. Some people even go to see these movies for something called 'recreation'!"

My very musical friend Blair replied, "Paint by numbers to get something new recreates the work of the masters. Well, sort of!"

And my dad's beach buddy Bob shared how "in our Upscale/Resale store, only the very best can be recreated....some call it recycling."   (http://stchristopherschildren.org/2014/01/check-out-new-photos-of-the-resale-store/)

Please share your thoughts about this week's "things that make you go 'Hmmm' “:

Can you be perfectly wrong?  (from my friend Bruce)

Never miss an opportunity to do something that makes you smile!

Our dog appreciates your compliments to her photo last week:  Sarah rocks!  Adorable! Love the unique pet trick!  Thanks for the photo.  (Not sure what's next.)

Thanks to Demetri Martin, Steven Wright and George Carlin for the inspiration for Hmmm.
