Did you ever stop to think, then forget to start again?

In response to last week’s question, "Did you ever stop to think, then forget to start again?", my dad's beach buddy Bob explained, "It is my daily exercise."

My social media friend Mark and my friend Kosol replied, "Hmmm I'd have to think about that" to which writing and sailing friend Rich assisted with, "I think I'll start by saying."

My cycling and flying friend Ted acknowledged, "Yes of course I did!! When the ring went on the finger!! (Just kidding)."  Then my friend Richard explained, "My wife would gladly confirm that the answer to that question is “YES!!!”  This week’s question calls to mind the immortal words of that great philosopher, Curley (of Three Stooges fame):  “I’m tryin’ to think, but nothin’ happens!”

My cousin Wes responded, "Yeah, particularly when I can't remember why I stopped to think."  To which my temple friend Vivian added, "Sometimes or maybe more often than desired that happens when one gets older, or is it that you just forgot what you want to remember.  Whatever.  What was I trying to say--I forgot!"

My friend Royce answered, "I think I was replying to Hal, but now I don't know."  Then my birthday bud Jon recalled, "Yes, that often....oh, never mind."

Please share your thoughts about "things that make you go 'Hmmm' “:

Do you really wait until today to wear white again?

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"

Hal

I hope you were able to pause yesterday to recall the memory of nearly 1 million US soldiers  who lost their lives defending our freedom, and to those veterans and active military who are continuing to defend our freedom in their honor.

Happy Anniversary to my better half!   And congrats to Syracuse Lacrosse --- both men and women's teams make it to the championship game this year.

[Thanks to Demetri Martin, Steven Wright and George Carlin for the inspiration.]
